to take responsibility for securing a sustainable, prosperous future for their natural and built environments"

After the highly successful emPower Energy Fest 2006 with local Aboriginal elders, scientists and Dr. David Suzuki at the Kuranda Amphitheater, the emPower team presents the EmPower Energy Fest 2007.

An informative exhibition will run throughout the entire festival. Interactive events, activities and stalls relating to global warming and how it will directly affect our lives and our local area will run on the weekend to coincide with the global Live Earth concerts around the world.

Activities have been designed to involve the whole community. Adults and children alike are warmly invited to attend to learn about global warming in the fun and educational environment that emPower will provide over the six days.

On Tuesday and Wednesday evening we will hold public forums on the likely local effects of climate change and what we can do about them and on what we want FNQ to look like in 2025. Come along and have your say on these important topics!
