A growing number of airlines and travel companies have teamed up with businesses that enable air passengers to pay a little extra on top of their tickets to help fund green projects.
While in general this is a step in the right direction, often those programs are ineffective or even damaging. In extreme cases virgin forest is slashed and replanted with seedlings resulting in big profits.
